Delighted to provide an image for the cover of Butchers Dog poetry magazine Issue 12 co-edited by Dr Jo Clement and Ian Humpreys’. It was great to go to the launch at the Alphabetti Theatre, Newcastle in December.
The image used ‘You, Night Sky’ was adapted from an illustration I originally produced for my MA in Digital Image and Media at University of Bolton, 2008. It was one of 6 illustrations of Clare Shaw’s poem ‘You’(Bloodaxe 2012). She wrote this poem during her pregnancy and it has similar themes to some of the poems in Butchers Dog Issue 12.
The ‘You, Night Sky’ combines hand-made marks with vector graphics and was produced using Adobe Illustrator.
