I am completing a two week artist residency at Fish Factory Art Space, Penryn, Cornwall. My residency will initially be focused on two things Cornwall’s infamous Lesser Weever fish and the weaving patterns of Violetta Thurstan who used to live in Penryn. Her book ‘Weaving Patterns of Yesterday and To-Day is still recognised as an important book (as is her book about natural dyes).
Zines, poems, prints may well emerge. I am approaching the residency with an open mind!! watch this space
